I have 2 locks on my door to the coop... one at the top one at the bottom. somehow the way the locks are the door ends up being about 1inch open at the bottom... is this going to be an issue with predators?

Maybe with mice/rats/snakes? I can't think of raccoons/coyotes/dogs getting through a space that small... Will you have a problem of shavings falling out?

no, the shavings shouldnt be a problem...

what issues may a mouse cause?

Not much of one, if you have large fowl it will be a snack. My chickens have killed many a mouse and stolen a few from my cat.

Mice are not a predator, but they'll eat feed (and scare you when you're not paying attention)

Can you just nail a 1x4 across the bottom of the door frame? Will your door still work if you did that?

as far as putting wood, thats not really the issue... the issue is the locks that I used for some reason its allowing the door to bow open a little near the bottom... Im not sure why its not shutting completly, in theory it should work! Its prob the type of lock that I used...
