Is this hen getting ready to lay

I think this may be my first laying hen.

Does she squat when you get near her? That's our for sure sign here.

Yeah there have been a few that have been doing that for a couple of weeks.

Looks like she is getting interested in the nesting box which is a good sign. Her comb still looks just a little bit pale. It will probably get much redder just before she starts laying. What nesting material is in the box?

I have straw in there but they kick the bulk of it out thinking about trying pine shavings.
