Is this just heat stress?

I think some ducks are reluctant to bathe when moulting as of course they're not in best condition to do so, but that shouldn't stop them drinking. May explain why they don't want to swim at the moment when they've loved it in the past...

Heat stress can do strange things to us, maybe that is what happened, but some how you need to get them to drink so the will stay hydrated. Have you tried to get them to eat anything like water melon or canalope? which is mainly water? if they aren't drinking I would even be tempted to get them some flavored gatorade just to get them to drink. Molt is rough on the too.

That does make me feel a little better regarding the molting. It came at a bad time with this heat. I did notice at the time this started that they were losing tons of tiny downy feathers but also one day all over the cement pad was like mixed in with the tiny feathers was almost like white dandruff stuff like tiny tiny pieces of feather shaft?

They are eating grapes and some watermelon and the peas and some of their feed as long as it's a couple feet away from the pool. At nite they are getting plenty of water in their pen with the pool.

I'm going to go squirt them now and if I have to I'll just have to leave them up in their pen during the day and hope they get over this. My macaw doesn't mind them in his pen as he up high on big branches but they aren't real thrilled with him in there, LOL! Another reason I have just been putting them in there at nite when he comes back in the house.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
