Kinda thinking it is due to how pink the comb is but I have no experience. Thanks!

I think you've got a roo...I'm seeing what looks to be some sickle feathers in the tail and some curling saddle feathers as well.

The comb development would depend on age as my 5 month old EE pullets have that much comb, but a younger bird would indicate roo.

I'm also seeing some red blotches on the wings.

Roo.

Thanks. I forgot to mention it is about 6 mo old. I think the red is just the lighting.

I can't see it well enough to say if it's a roo or pullet. Try to post a better closer up pic of the head showing the comb. One tip for sexing pea combed birds...1 single row of vertical "peas" it's a pullet. 3 rows of "peas" it's a roo. Here is a link to a page with a pic of a buckeye roo with a perfect 3 row pea comb. http://www.pathfindersfarm.com/Buckeyes.html. Follow this second link which will help you recognize the differance between a pullet and a roo. http://www.homegrowngourmet.org/how...crow-gender-identification-in-young-chickens/ BTW, your Ameraucana is most likely an Easter Egger if it's from a feedstore/hatchery.

Thank you. I will check those out. No, it is not from a hatchery or store.
