Is this Molting or Picking? Pics Included

HI~

I have two chickens that I have a question about...this is my first season with the chicks so I'm not exactly sure what molting looks like....the first two photos are of one of my Rhode Island Reds. Is this what molting looks like?? She used to be a beautiful red color and now she has fuzzy little light feathers!

This one I don't think is molting? She is completely bare to her skin and it looks scabby in a few spots.....should I get her a little covering?

awww...poor girls! Both of them?

Anyway to stop him or at least slow him down!
 
Yes, both of them.

I wouldet let him mate them until you get them saddle things, to protect you girls.
 
I justed order some cute ones and am about to make some to hold them over until they get here...

you also might want to put some bluekote on them where theres no feathers and scabbing, if not the others might start to peck at the area and it can get out of hand fast..
