Is this molting time?

Hi guys, I have had a pair of Lady Amhersts for about three months now and the male has started to molt(I think). He lost his tail feathers over two days and is now shedding the white neck cape. Is he molting or is there something else wrong with him? Thanx a bunch,

I little early but yeah the end of summer is when they usually start to molt.

I live in Illinois and both my males molted their tails this last week.

Our's are almost done molting and regrowing their feathers.
