Is this normal chick behaviour?

Hi, I have two 9 week old chicks, one legbar and one EE. A few weeks ago, my legbar was extremely lethargic, only passing urates, not moving much etc. I took her to the vet but they couldn’t find anything and when we got home, she was completely fine again and back to her healthy, energetic self. Now, my EE is experiencing the same symptoms and i just have no idea what to do. My only thought when my legbar had the symptoms was that it was the heat/dehydration because when we were in the vet and car, there was AC. It was only around 26 degrees though. I’m just wondering if it’s normal for chicks to just have off days or if there’s something wrong?

You can treat both of them with Corid to help overcome coccidia that will affect their digestive system usually between the age of 6-14 weeks.

During treatment do not use any additives containing thiamin.

Do you think it is coccidosis? They are completely fine the majority of the time and have only had these weird symptoms once and then gone back to normal after. I use medicated feed too

It would not hurt to treat them in case it was not coccidia.
But maybe try to up their water intake by offering several water dispensers with fresh cool water several times on hot days.

What exactly are you feeding including treats?

Did the vet run any tests while she was there? I would assume they did a fecal test at least to check for coccidiosis, worms, or anything else?

I use a combo probiotic/electrolyte powder for their water when any of mine seem off. The product we have is Hydro-Hen but there are many. That usually perks them up the same as a bit of honey in a cup of water would.

She is now pooping green and looking worse. They did have quite a few peas yesterday so that could be the cause but I’m not sure. The vet didn’t do any tests and said that it would cost £700 to test her which I just can’t afford and she improved massively when we came home and is now fine.

Update: She is okay! I took her to a great vet that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and he gave her an antibiotic and anti inflammatory injection. She got a lot worse before she got better and tbh, i thought she was going to die. After a few days, she started to show improvement and now shes back to her normal self! I think the green poo was just from peas my mum fed them and I assume it was just a virus that was hard to treat since her immune system is still quite weak (she’s still very young).
