Have a Cinnamon who's probably about 3, i don't think she lays and I don't know her true age. She's had roundworms before and treated. She started acting lethargic this afternoon and this is the only poop sample I could get. She and the others free range about 5 hours a day and have access to later feed, watermelon, grapes, blueberries, and greens. Does this look normal, I've tried looking at poop charts but I'm not sure.

The deep green stool looks like she is not eating. There is mucus and white urates, and the second stool might have a little blood in it. I would take a sample into a local vet to look for parasites. Usually a 3 year old does not have coccidiosis unless they are weak and immune compromised, but it is possible. But if you want to start some Corid, that will not be harmful.

I would bring her inside to watch if she is eating and drinking. Offer some cooked egg and some wet chicken feed. Add a spoonful of plain yogurt to her food. Give her some Poultry NutriDrench a few drops up to 2 ml per day.

Feel of her crop to see if it is empty, full, hard, or puffy. Check again early in the morning to make sure it has emptied. Crop problems as well as reproductive problems are very common in hens over 2. Feel her breast bone for being more prominent to see if she has lost weight, and her lower belly between her legs to check if she is enlarged there. Let us know what you find.

I took stool sample to vet this morning, they don't see chickens but will do fecal. Will find out tomorrow. Checked her crop first thing this morning felt empty. She is eating some mostly watermelon . Didn't have yogurt but mixed in buttermilk with her feed. No noticeable weight loss. I have corid but I don't have a scale to weigh it out for gallon of water. Has anyone figured out a good tspn or tblspn amount for ounces? Thanks for your response and I'll post updates.

This afternoon she started sounding congested and just a few minutes ago when I was holding her she kind of gagged and some liquid and pieces of good came out. Hey crop is full but not hard it's soft and it was empty this morning. Now I'm truly baffled to what is going on.

Hey crop didn't fully empty this morning and she still has the rattle sound. Does she look like she has a crop issue?
