I have two black Jersey Giants. They were both supposed to be rooster. One most certainly is, but the other, I'm not sure is even a Jersey giant at this point. Not only does his have a tiny comb, but the comb is black. Is it normal for a Jersey giant hen to have a black comb? But the deffenite roo always puffs up to him/ her, but they are supposed to be the same age. Could it be a slow maturing roo? Like VERY slow? Is it even a Jersey giant?

We will gladly help you with this - but need more information to begin to answer your questions. How old, in weeks, are these birds? Can you take and post photos of both? What color are the bottoms of the feet on each bird?

I will do that in a couple minutes. I have to upload a picture of the one. But too answer the questions, they are both roughly 9 weeks but I'm not entirely sure. When bought they were separated from all the rest and the deffenite roo is much larger than any of the others

Here's the deffenite Jersey Giant roo -

You have one cockerel and one pullet. The pullet's comb and wattled will redden when she reaches the point of lay several weeks from now

Ok thank you guys! I was very confused cause when they sold them to us they were both supposed to deffentley be Roos. But thank you it's a big help!
