Is this normal?

Hey, my newly baby chick has a reddish type of thing sticking out of its belly, any ideas?

Its probably where it absorbed the yolk. But I'd definitely keep an eye on it, make sure it's clean and not bloody. I had a silkie chick that had a red bump on its navel, but it dried up and went away eventually. Check that no other chicks are pecking that area

Thanks, i have had to move the other chicks away from it a few times, and it seems too be smaller now.

That's good, hopefully the rest will leave it alone so it heals up correctly.
