my muskovy looks mangy. Is this normal? Is she just molting? Her best buddy, who eats the same food, sleeps in the same place, e.t.c looks nothing like this. Thoughts?

They are both females. We are in WI. We have several other ducks and chickens and peacocks but they are in a different barn. I miss coveys are in the heated barn so they don't get too cold

My Muscovy have their big molt in fall of the year a few mini molts stocks other times. Do you know if they molted back in the fall where they lost their flight feathers? Maybe up the protein some that’s good for feather quality. Some use dry cat food I use dry dog food salmon an pea.cant hurt to try something like this and see if it helps. Winters can be hard on water fowl they don’t get to bath as often so they don’t preen as much and their feathers can look pretty ragged.
