I have 6 chickens and 2 are midnight majesty maran girls and one lays big beautiful medium brown eggs...the other lays eggs that are covered in red....at first I thought she had blood in her bloom (this red comes off with some hard scrubbing) but I see some pics on copper marans eggs and they look just like hers! She is great looking fat...happy and prefers not to snuggle lol but should I be concerned about her eggs? I have checked her vent and everything looks fine. The one on the end is my buff orpington and the other 5 are hers....

I have a Barred Rock hen that lays a medium brown egg, her 4 sisters lay a beige egg.
The bloom and color will come off. Underneath is the beige color. I try to scrub gently with the brush I use.
The egg behind it is perfect. I didn't scrub off the color.View attachment 2054445

Her red is REALLY on there tho...in order to get it off I have to really put some elbow grease on that..enough where I broke one trying to scrub it

When an egg goes through the hen's internal egg making factory it spends most of its time in the shell gland where the shell is put on. After the shell is finished she then puts on a layer of pigment if she lays a brown or green egg. The shade of brown is controlled by genetics and a few other things. There can be some variations by the same hen but usually that shade is fairly consistent from one day to the next. After that brown pigment is on she lays it, putting on a layer of Bloom as it is laid.

If you crack the egg and remove the membrane you can see the base color of that egg shell. If you wash, scrub, or sandpaper that brown off you can see the base color of the egg shell.

Some of that reddish color may come from the bloom. That can vary in color some by the hen too. Some hens lay an egg with a purplish tint. That could be from the Bloom.

I see nothing wrong with what you show. Perfectly normal. Some people would be thrilled to death to have a hen laying that color of egg. If I had her I'd try hatching her eggs.
