Is this normal??

It's just speckling... just pigment. Why would you want to scrub it off?
I didn't want to scrub it off per'say I just one day got them in the rain and when I wiped it it came off a bit. And I wouldnt call it speckling it covers the whole egg 90% of the time.

When an egg goes through the hen's internal egg making factory it spends most of its time in the shell gland where the shell is put on. After the shell is finished she then puts on a layer of pigment if she lays a brown or green egg. The shade of brown is controlled by genetics and a few other things. There can be some variations by the same hen but usually that shade is fairly consistent from one day to the next. After that brown pigment is on she lays it, putting on a layer of Bloom as it is laid.

If you crack the egg and remove the membrane you can see the base color of that egg shell. If you wash, scrub, or sandpaper that brown off you can see the base color of the egg shell.

Some of that reddish color may come from the bloom. That can vary in color some by the hen too. Some hens lay an egg with a purplish tint. That could be from the Bloom.

I see nothing wrong with what you show. Perfectly normal. Some people would be thrilled to death to have a hen laying that color of egg. If I had her I'd try hatching her eggs.

Thank you for the info! I hope people didn't misinterpret my post I dont hate her eggs I'm just new to having chickens and wanted to make sure I wasnt ignoring a possible life threatening problem she may have. I want them all to be happy and healthy and I just wasnt sure if it was normal since my other maran doesnt produce eggs like this. I appreciate the advice. I dont have a rooster but maybe someday I will consider her having babies 🙂🙂

With Marans, and other dark brown layers, that coating can be funky.
Can be inconsistent, especially the first few weeks of laying.
It's also prone to being scratched and smeared.
Cool thanks! I just wanted to make sure she wasnt having a serious problem I was ignoring lol

Yeah, I wouldn't try to scrub off the pigment, just clean as you do the other eggs, to get off any dirt or poo. GC
I havent been I just did that one time trying to discover for myself if I thought it was blood or not lol trial and error
