Is this normal?

My two young hens were born in early February, which makes them almost 6 months old. No eggs from either so far! One's an EE the other a SLW. I have noticed their faces have been red for a month or longer now. I thought they started laying around 4 months...any ideas why the delay?

I had some EEs that did not begin until week 30 and week 32. They typically don't start until about 24 weeks, so it should be ANY time now for you! Hang in there...that's the hardest part!
