I have a seven month old Blue Andalusian pullet whose sinus cavity puffs out on occasion when she breathes. I put Vaseline on their combs today and with all her wiggling she might have got some in her nares. I wiped her off as best as I could.
She's eating, drinking and roosting normally. I've been feeding them bits of ground beef at night because it's been miserably cold here, -4 degrees, and she ate a couple of bites tonight when I fed her by hand but she seemed to be doing it just to keep me happy.
She was sitting on their outside roost and went to bed as normal.
I'm just worried that she may be coming down with a "cold" of sorts. I've heard that Andalusians aren't the best cold weather breed. She has five other chickens to cuddle with and they live in a 4x6x4 house.
I'm just wondering if this is normal?
