Is this normal?

Wow, thank you all! Maybe wheezing is a little too much to call it. He's breathing through his mouth and it makes a noise sometimes when he does. I can hear the air going in.
Sammi . . . do they have a coop? Yep, brand new coop made from wood.
what bedding do you use? Straw on floor and in nests
has the coop been cleaned recently? It's only about 3 weeks old, should I clean it out already.

do you have any antibiotics on hand? Nope, not for chickens.
is there a good feed/farm/livestock supply store in your area, (such as Tractor Supply Company)? Yep. We buy our feed from a small locally-owned feed store. Scratch feed, cracked corn and oyster pieces. I also give them green grass and weeds, lettuce, raw corn, squash pieces and other "goodies" from the kitchen.

How old are the chicks? You should not be feeding scratch esp. in the hot weather. If they are young they should get starter grower and if they are laying age they should be getting laying pellets and the oyster shells. Scratch and corn are given only as a treat and not rec. for the Summer months because it will raise the body temperature. The treats you are giving sounds great though!
