Is this normal?

It's raining out and my chickens are wandering around the yard like it's a beautiful sunny day! Coop door is open, nice and clean, dry, fesh food and water, so what the heck?

Who ever coined the phrase, "mad as a wet hen", obviously didn't raise chickens. Mine routinely go about their activities on rainy days as if they don't mind. They rarely stay out to the point of saturation and they do not care much for snow, but even on a moderate down pour, they will be out & about.

Mine don't seem to mind the rain, either. However, if there is a strong wind with the rain they will go inside.

Mine don't mind the rain or the snow, the wind though seems to bother them. On colder days they often won't leave the coop until mid-morning or later.
