Is this normal

Just got home from getting a baby cochin that hatched yesterday. from above it looks like he has 2 toes and the normal small one in the back, but when you flip him on his back you can see the small 4th toe. Is this normal? I haven't noticed this when my other Cochins were this small.

I'm pretty sure 4 toes is normal. All my little chickies have 4 ;-)

Thank you . I knew they had the 4 toes I'm just wondering why that 4th one is so tiny. All my others had a pretty long one as their far right toe:/

I haven't seen anything like it with any I've raised. Could be one of those quirks that are more common in some breeds, or your little one could be unusual.

Yeah 4 toes is normal . But if your concerned about the wellbeing of your baby chick, watch it as it grows. To me it looks normal.

Haha, four toes is normal, mine has five!!
His fifth one is growing off of the back one like a branch, it is hilarious!!

It looks exactly like a toe, it has a nail on the end of it to and he has it on both feet...
