Is this Ocular Mareks

I ordered nine chicks from Meyer Hatchery in Dec. This hen's eyes are concerning me. Is this ocular Mareks? I paid for the vaccinations so I'm unsure if it's even possible. She's an Olive Egger.

That doesn’t look like ocular Mareks that I have seen pictures of, but I don’t know why the dark pigments are appearing in the irises. Does she seem to have trouble seeing it you place treats out for her?

No. She seems to be seeing fine. She is very young. Only about 13 weeks old.

I would just check her eyes every once in a while to see if there are any changes. Mareks tends to cause. Paler or grey iris, and changes that make the pupil appear pinpoint or irregular-shaped.

If it turns out that she has it, does that mean she wasn't vaccinated? Because I paid for her to be vaccinated.

The vaccine is not 100% effective in every case. For instance if she was vaccinated, and she was exposed in the first 2 weeks of life before the vaccine became effective, she could get it. There is a pcr blood test for Mareks if you could get your vet to take some blood serum for you to send to this lab that costs $20:
http://www.vetdna.com/Most people get a diagnosis with a neceopsy after death by a state poultry vet. I remember seeing this sort of thing in the past here in a thread where the chicken did not have Mareks. Hopefully it is not that.

There is no way she was exposed to Mareks in the first few weeks. We put the chicks in a brand new brooder that had never had birds in it, in my garage, well away from the coop or the outside for the first couple months. It was dead of winter so they couldn't go into the coop until they were basically so big there was no other choice. I think about 8 or 9 weeks old.
So, I'm going to just hope that this isn't Mareks. It startled me to see those spots in her eyes but she seems fine otherwise. Hopefully the other chicks were vaccinated even if there was a mistake with her. Idk. Just gonna keep watching her behavior and make sure she doesn't show other signs.
I'll be pretty upset if they made a mistake and my chicks were somehow overlooked, though. I have kids and it would definitely suck to lose them all to something preventable.

I really wouldn’t worry since this doesn’t look like Mareks.
