Is this ok?

would it be ok to take eggs out the nest boxes and put them straight under a broody hen? obviously all eggs going under will be put under on the same day

Iv heard you shouldn't . You should store them for a day before setting them. I moved my broody to the broody pen and gave her the egg my other hen layed under her that day + 11 more I had bought on line thay all hatched yesterday one big yellow chick from that egg ten from the 11 Appenzellers .So i don't know why not .

well she will be getting 6 baught ones and 6 of my own so i should put 3 of my own under her that were layed that day and leave the other nine eggs to set and see if any hatch
