Is this okay to give to my quail

So I was wondering if giving some chicken layer feed is okay to give to my quail to help egg production because my girls should start laying soon. My quail are currently on a gamebird food so they are getting their needs met.

Chicken layer feed is too low in protein for egg production in quail. I would just continue with the game bird feed and offer up crushed oyster shell on the side. It's not the calcium that makes them lay, the calcium only helps to put a shell on the yolk.
