Is this one infertile?

This is Day 7...I'm pretty sure it is. If so I will crack it open tonight. It's my one and only Leghorn egg

The embryo could be hiding behind the yolk still.
What's 3 days more, just in case.

I'll leave it in there then. I don't see any veining at all, that's why I was thinking it was infertile. So far I haven't discarded any of the 16 eggs, I can't see into any of the brown ones enough to make out veining, but I do think I see an embryo in a couple of them. So frustrating when you can't tell!

I'm still curious as to what you mean by ''cracking it''?

At eggtopsy, to see if there was any development at all...crack the egg open onto a plate or in a plastic baggy and examine it.

It does. I have not done it yet, and I'm afraid to do it to a fertile one, but, it's interesting to see development so if I end up with a dead in shell chick, I will check it out and see if I can figure out what went wrong.
