Is this parakeet a boy or girl?

Hi! I am wanting to get a new parakeet for my female! I really want a male but I can’t tell if this one is a male!! Can you help me?

He or she was grooming another parakeet! Is it a male??

It is a Female Because its nose is pink when males noses are blue.

I don’t know. I really don’t think a parakeet qualifies as poultry. Sorry I can’t be more help!

It's young, so it's cere will generally be a more solid pink if it a male, and it will be more white, with white rings around the nostrils if a female. Sometimes it's harder to see the difference on a photograph. I think it may be a female, but not 100% positive.

I think the other one in the photo may be a male, but I can't see it clearly.

Thanks everyone! I went back to the pet store and it is a male! Under the light it’s cere looks white but it is a solid purple pick! Thanks everyone!
