Is this pasty butt?

Thanks for reading I have hatched 3 little coturnix quails. They are not even a full 24 hrs old yet. They havent been fed anything but they have access to water. The smallest of the three chicks seems to have a piece of poop stuck to his butt. I havent seen the others poop at all, and the poo is hard now. Does anyone know of this is pasty butt? Or if he just pooped and sat in it?

If there is dried poop blocking the vent you need to clean that off. Gently though the fragile skin can tear.

Thanks for your help, with a q tip and a little water it came right off. I know its been a while, but am checking my old threads and i want to let anyone who may be looking at this thread know that everything is fine now.
