Giving milk to birds is somewhat controversial. Birds lack the enzyme to digest lactose, so it simply goes through their systems undigested. If you give your birds more than a little bit of milk, it's likely to give them the runs, which could dehydrate them. Yogurt and cheese are different, because the lactose in these products have been converted to something else.

So if you do give milk, do it sparingly and keep an eye on your birds for diarrhea.
