Hello everyone. Six of my silkie chicks have this problem on their beaks and eyelids. Can it be cured and should I seperate the healthy looking chicks? Thanks in advance...
It looks like dry fowl pox. It spreads via mosquitos. It should run it's course in a few weeks.
You can dab the lesions with iodine to help them dry up but don't rub at them. You can also support the flock with poultry vitamins to help boost their immunity.
