Is this really a black giant?

I purchased these black giants on August 3 from a breeder. However after about 2 weeks it was noticeable that some were pure black with a greenish tint(normal black giant color) while some were black with a brown tint and then there were at least 2 or 3 that had this white and black feathers. To me they look mixed with something or are they really black giants?

The black/white barred birds for sure are not Black Jersey Giants. If they are crossed, it is likely that the entire lot especially those with brown are crossbreds.

A local breeder. I saw his post on fb and contacted him. Saw he had good reviews

If not show quality Birds. Then it doesn't matter. Many can have that in all breeds that are not of show quality..
