Is this safe to put in planting beds where chickens scratch and forage?

I personally would not... mostly because it's a concentrated amount of minerals and things I don't what affect they might have on chickens. May be that someone who has done it will share a different experience.

Could you maybe get compost to use in the beds instead?

Thanks for the reply, I was skeptical of it when my mom used it on the plants but the chickens aren't showing any signs of anything wrong so far.

That's good! Another reason I'd hesitate is that that particular plant food is for flowers, not vegetables or plants grown as food. Since whatever the chickens eat is transferred to the eggs, I'd probably not want to use that where laying hens are scratching and eating.

Hope all goes well!

Miracle Grow is for all plants, not just flowers. It is a water soluble fertilizer that feeds through roots & leaves. I am not a big fan, but I doubt it would hurt chickens after it is dry on the plant. Many worse things in the world. How in the world do you let chickens scratch in the garden & still have plants, LOL?
