i have a friend whos chickens do very well with 2 sf per bird in their coop! they freerange every day and shes never had helth problems wth them. sh e was suposed to have bantams, she buit her coop for bantams and the guy sent her stanard sized birds by mistake she never sent them back and hey have ben doing very well ever since. the coop is 4x4 and she has 8 birds. she also get 7-8 eggs a day. so i gues they are quite comfy together.
