I just rescued this silkie hen from an auction and and I'm not an expert on silkie colors. Is she a paint or a splash? Thanks!

Splash. You can tell by the light gray background color and then the splashes of darker blue. A paint would have crisp white background and more blotches or patches of black (usually) instead of splashes if that makes sense. My avatar photo is a paint.

Thank you! I picked up that one, a buff and a chocolate. They were filthy, skinny, and with injured feet, maybe from wire cages. They didn't know how to jump up on anything or how to go out. They're all cleaned up and loving life now!

i think i agree that is splash i think paint is white with black flecks
