I've been having trouble with this weird illness. One day a few if my chickens were coughing, so I gave them all some electrolytes thinking it might just clear up on its own (boy was I wrong) now it has been reoccurring in some of my baby chicks and roosters. Their eyes get bubbles in their corners, snot runs down their beaks, they wheeze and cough, and eventually their eyes swell completely shut and give off a rank smell. I have tried researching about this and have come up with the conclusion it is a cold/roup/coryza. I have been giving them duramycin in their water, but only rarely do I see any improvement. What can I do ( besides killing all my babies and burning my coop)? Are there any good remedies that have worked for any of y'all! I can post pictures if necessary :(

try tylan50 injectable or baytril if you can find baytril.if not tylan50 packs a big punch with respiratory illness.dose is large bird 1/2 cc small 1/4 cc once daily for 5 to 7 days. you can get tylan at feed store with syringe. in cattle section. don't worry bottle says for cattle many poultry owners use it with great success including me. i think it will really help!
