Is this still a cayuga duck? *update* post one

Here is 4 weeks , talk about a difference . Its crazy how fast they grow. Here he is with the week old mallards (that are now 4 weeks old lol )

Ours said they got them from Mt. Healthy here in Ohio. Do you have a pic of the mallard as a 3ish week old baby?

I just googled pics of both black mallard and Rouen and they don't look anything like what Cinderella looks like. Is it possible it could be a mix?
You really cant go by feathers right now. I beleive they wont get their adult feathers until their first molt before mating season.

Hmmm okay, maybe that's what it is. Can a Mallard breed with a Pekin? if they are male/female.
You know I wondered the same thing. lol I did find some pics on google but I dont know how succesful the mating would be, and I guess it would depend which was the male. Maybe your black duck will end up being a dark Rouen and will be the same size as your Pekin. :) I bet the babies would be cute.

Hi! There was a duckling at our lake that looked like yours when it started to feather out. It was half Cayuga, half mallard. He looked a lot like Apyl's ducklings. He grew up looking like a mallard without a bib. He's molting now and is going back to that darker brown color again.

Still looks like the duck at the lake that turned ended up looking like a mallard.

Your white one could be a white mallard. Snowy mallards really aren't all white, but white mallards are.

Hmmm I'll google a white mallard. I've emailed the hatchery for a 2nd time with the most recent pic and hopefully they'll take the 30 seconds to get back to me. I'm wondering if they just put all the mallards in a big pen and let them do whatever they wanted. The mystery is both fun and nerve racking LOL.

Grrr, emailed Mt. Healthy about what varieties of Mallards they had in their general mallard mix, they responding back saying "We only have mallards and pekins." So I emailed back letting them know I was interested in the varieties they had in the pens, not just the breed.

This is why you guys are so helpful, you know your varieties :)
