If both ducks are the same age then no the white one is not a Pekin. A Pekin would be double the size of the Mallard by this age. It's funny, since I too have a "dark mallard" I have been doing sooooo much research just trying to figure out what exactly they are. So far my only guess is that since they are products of bulk hatching and breeding that they just happen to get an off set in the genetics and turned out dark. As for the white one, it could be the same circumstance. Maybe just from all the bulk breeding and hatching a white one was produced. In the wild we wouldnt see this because they would be targeted as prey faster. Either way both your ducks are gorgeous. The only way I know of at this stage to tell the sex is by the "quack" The girls will be loud and deep and the boys will be quite and whispy.
