Probably, but that is unusual. Pips are usually around the side, maybe just under the air cell. I’ve seen them at a lot of different places on the egg but never up there.

But if that is a new development, it’s probably a pip, especially at the time stage you are in. That’s unusual enough that I’m not sure how it is going to work out for you. The chick may be trying to pip there or maybe it really hammered the internal pip and the shell was a little thin.
