Is this the calm before the storm for maturity?

I have 5 Silkie/Frizzle mix's that are going on 12 weeks old. One is already crowing so I know were we stand with him. I also see 3 others that will spar with each other along with him. I'm thinking I have 4 roo's and one girl - however at the end of the day they all curl up against each other and will sleep in the same nesting box. I've seen a couple of them work their way underneath a sibling to sleep. Should I continue to pursue finding new homes for at least 3 of them? I have two 1 year old girls and believe one of the 12 week olds is a girl by their behaviors.

Hi!

Personally, I would wait for other signs if the silkies are cockerels. I recently had four chicks would fly around my house in a frenzy and fight
by pecking each other toes while 'flying' around like crazy! It was a great sight and very amusing :lau.

I thought all four might be males or at least two might be. I found out that all four are girls! :yesss:
Hopefully you end up with all girls (unless you want a rooster! :)) Silkies have a reputation for being harder to sex than other breeds. Just taking a guess though, I'd say that the top silkie is a pullet. I had a silkie rooster and he had streamers at about 12 weeks (I think. It may have been 14 weeks). Your silkie show no signs of streamers! (From what I can tell.) As for the others, I have no idea but its not hard to spot that those are some beautiful silkies! The colors are amazing!
Hope this helps!
