Is this the start of scales???

So i don't know if this is common in bantam roosters or not but the top scales on his feet are sort of flaky....it may just be from wear and tear, but idk!!! Please help!!!

I don't think it's anything to be afraid of, I see it a lot in my mixed flock and I assume it's from wear. I would be interested if someone else had another suggestion.


It's kind of hard to see in this picture because my camera is having focusing problems.

Ok thanks so much i do think its from wear but now i know there are more chicken feet like his i feel a bit better. I hope someone else posts too
