We have a little porcelain d’uccle rooster that I noticed was limping today. So I caught him to see what the problem was. I noticed a black spot on one of he’s feet that appeared to be bumble foot. I also saw that his feet scaling was all off looking, like they were coming off he feet. Any diagnosis on the bumble foot, or anyone that had experienced the scale thing? I’ve been raising for 6+ years and never seen anything like it. Thank you!!

I would soak the feet in warm soapy water or Epsom salts water for 10-15 minutes a day. Take a toothbrush and gently brush the scales. Dry with a towel. Apply an oil of preference, such as vaseline, castor, minder Al or other oil. Sulfur powder plus vaseline is also good, or get Nustock Cream which has sulfur and kills leg mites. With the oil they are smothered, and eventually the new scales will grown in after doing this 2 times a week for several weeks.
