Hey everyone! We have a rooster named “Ivan” who has been the best sweetest and most gentle I have ever seen. We’ve even had compliments from others as to how nice he is.
The past several months I’ve noticed that he developed a limp/straddle kind of gait almost as if he’s bowlegged or very tense. Originally we thought he had fought something off and may have been injured. However after many feet/leg checks and time he has not gotten better. In fact, he is more lethargic and seems to be almost “depressed”. I picked him up a few days ago and noticed a bald spot below his crop possibly from laying so much? His legs and feet seem OK - no bumble foot or lacerations.
Today I noticed he has been adjusting his crop constantly.
I’m about to go and check on him and look at his eyes - I’m starting to wonder if this is Mareks disease…pictures to follow.
