Is this this early bumble foot?

Hey- thank you.💝I am beginning to think I am not cut out for this.. I mean I will love my babies forever - but I feel so incapable of doing what everyone else seems to be able to do so easily -I am forever running to the Vet bc I get worried now something is wrong -
I just had one of my ducks( I have 4- all 6 months old) end up in the ICU for 4 days! They said she had an aspiration pneumonia- I was shocked - I have to give her pills twice a day and I am convinced each time that I am going to do it wrong ...
then this little sweetie has a little black spot on her foot and I panic ... ugh .. this has definitely taken me out of my comfort zone... I am constantly worried that I am going to mess up and hurt them.. I have read and read and read ... yet I remain quite worried about them all the time ...
They are so adorable! I just want them safe and happy.
Thank you all so much .
I actually know EXACTLY how you feel. Having pet ducks can be really hard, they can be very high maintenance and the stress and pressure can be overwhelming. Thankfully, parts of it get easier, like medications. Other parts, like the stress of my adored pets being medically fragile, for my flock, remain.

I've had my ducks for 6 years now, and I've gotten very good at giving them their medication. Let me know if you want any tips.

Thank you - that is very kind of you. Yea, medically fragile completely describes it! I really had no idea - when you read in the Internet they have sweet pictures of ducks in the yard ... easy..... NOT !
Which I think does such an injustice and disservice to on these lovely animals bc they truly are an enormous amount of work.. and if ppl thin this is just an easy pet it can lead to pet abandonment... so sad.
The predator protection , the health issues , bedding , water ... wow !
Hahaha but I swear when they donthat thing that thing that they do... my heart melts... but seriously 15 puppies with ADD on stimulants wouldn’t have been easier!
Lololol 💝💝💝💝🌹

Oh, I completely understand and agree. They are so awarding to have. And when you get their love, it seems like the greats moment in the world. They are wonderful and yet so fragile.

I set up a camera in the coop just so I can check in on them! Constantly worried about them. Lots of tough moments too which has fueled my constant worry. Had a predator kill my first two ducks, which led to the double fortified duck coop. Then a snake snuck in and killed a duck (didn't know they could happen, everyone says they'll just go for the eggs), which led to the triple fortified duck fortress we currently have.

Like you said, if it isn't a predator, you worry about bumble foot, too aggressive mating, prolapses, egg bound, illnesses, etc. Read up on it all and has left me constantly on alert.

But in the end so worth it. 😍

Oh I’m so sorry .. that must have been so emotionally difficult. 💝
A predator... my biggest worry. I have a pen that has 1/2x1/2 hardware pvc coated 16 gauge wire on with a about a foot or more deep trench with the same - with layer of hardware wire.. and it hasn’t shingles roof-the coop is like a house with siding ... but I still takentjem
I’m at night and I have a baby monitor out there to watch and listen .. it isn’t about 30 from my deck and I’m thinking about putting in electric wire . Here is the set up.. I’d love to see your babies !!
