I have read that they are very fragile, and are somewhat hard to raise. Is that actually true? So, should I give them any special care?

Thanks

Because of them being highly inbreed to retain their unusual feather color they may have many recessive genes that can make them somewhat more fragile. I heard that they are specially sensitive to cold.
If I had them I would pair them with red ones to increase the gene pool, and then select from there for the color again.

Hi
peach are fragile to hatch, the best way to hatch them to get agood survivel rate,is use abroody hen. i use old english game bantams, they are small but can handle about 6 eggs, put your eggs in the incubator for about 5 days ,candle them, remove the hens eggs slide, thepeach under her. It takes about23 to 24days total to hatch..I use incubators to, because you will have to have abroody hen,so the fresher the egg in theincubator the better. Isave eggs up to 5days then iput them in the incubator,if there is not ahen available. donot put your peach with any thing but peach or peach splash, if you plan on selling any, goldies will breed withgoldies wether, they are yellow peach, red or what ever, when breeding and selling birds, keep your blood lines pure. donot get discouraged, they are hard to raise ,but you will get some. i would discourage you on selling eggs because peach eggs are fragile , and donot do well when mailed, plus you need allthe eggs you can get. i sell mine for$100.00apr for peach splash and a$150.00 apr for pure peach. I got acall from my best friend scott obrien tonight,he is shipping me some african harliquin quail eggs to test for fertility because ihave an incubator going so imay have some harliquins for sale,in couple of months if you know any one that may be interested.
