Day 6-7 of candling..... I see veins in all of them and some I can see a spot moving, some i see veins but no spot unless i move it on it's side and the chicks seems to fall near the shell ... But half the shell looks empty/air filled and the other half veiny ?? all of the eggs are pourus (not sure if spelt right) At 6-7 days shoud I see all the chicks moving or might they be in the middle ? And should the whole shell be veiny ??? Thanks to anyone that can help !!!! I hate being stressed about egg candling !!!!

I just candled on day 7 and see basically the same thing. I'm using three different incubators and in the LG still air I see veins but no embryo. It's probably best to wait until day 12-14 and candle again before stressing too much.

If this is your first time incubating it is best to leave them and re~candle on day 10. You will really be able to tell the difference between eggs that have stopped developing and those that are growing. Any questionable ones on day 10 I leave until day 14 when I candle again.

Anything that has veins is alive at this time. Until you have candled a lot, it will be difficult for you to tell about a lot of things. Just know that if it has veins, KEEP IT!!! That veining network will grow all the way around the shell and downward toward the pointed end of the shell as the chick grows. Eventually you must candle from the top of the egg (the rounded end) to be able to see anything. That will probably be around day 12.
