Is thisokay for bedding?

Well we get this like saw-dust/ woodchip (MOSTLY SAWDUST!) Stuff and my Dad just throws it out. we're plannign on making a new coop in the Spring and I was wonding if this would be alright for bedding.

That would depend on the wood. I've read lately on various postings that hardwoods (especially walnut) and cedar are toxic to birds, so you might want to evaluate what sort of trees are getting chipped up. Basically the posters are saying only pine or fir.
