Is three weeks to early to go out?

I mean to a brooder cage in my barn, draft free and it will have a heat light.

You can put chicks anywhere it is draft free with a heat lamp.

Even when temps are freezing and in the single digits at night?? Hopefully our freak cold blast will be over in a month!

As long as the brooder is draft free or has even just a draft free heated area, they should be fine. Make sure the water doesn't freeze solid and the heat stays on.

That's good to know. I just put my 6-7 week old chicks out in the draft free coop with a heat lamp. I think they'll be okay too.
