Is watermelon good or bad for older chicks?

I meant their regular food as in protein. (Food: chick feed, corn, and grass) Sorry for not explaining it a little better.

The title says it. I think I heard one time that you shouldn't feed watermelon to your chicks, but I wanted to make sure of that because this weekend I am going to eat some watermelon and (maybe) feed the leftovers to the chicks. And if it is not good for them what could happen?

Yes! Chicks can eat Watermelon as a treat! Plus many other things!
