Is your flock NPIP certified?

they only tested 10 of my birds one from each pen very quick, certified since 1-11

After the initial test, the following year they do 75% for 1-5 years, 50% for 5-10 years, 25% for 10-15 years, and 10 or 15%(can't remember exactly) for 20+ years. This is for Oklahoma what is everyone else's test %'s per year?

We are NPIP and I beleive that NPIP is an excellant program if only for your own piece of mind .I certaintinally think its better to know that your flocks are free from the diseases that they do test for ,than not to know.They will do extra test on top of what they do routinely if you ask them to before your scheduled testing day (the extra tests you will be charged for)
In my state once annually ,they come and blood test every single bird on the whole premises excluding our Emu,pigeons and quail.
They also AI Swap atleast 30 of your birds mouth every year which is a great thing . There was a scare of this(AI) last month in a surrounding county close by. They took care of the problem pretty fast but it was quite the scare !

Hmm maybe in FL Nava but she said all birds over 4 months old get tested and I told her to pack a lunch and saddle up cause she's going to be busy! LOL.. I was concerned more of my chicks and hurting them-by the time she gets here Ill have over 100 of them hatched out too!
I also wish they would test for the more common diseases-now that would be great! I'd certainly pay for it. Looking into being certified myself so I can test my own flocks-not others-not into that...
