ISA browns not laying

I have 12, almost 2 year old ISA brown chickens. It is June 12th and they are not laying like they should be. Only getting 3-5 eggs a day. They have stopped laying in the nesting box and are laying in a clean nest under the poop board. The nesting boxes are clean, I dont know why they have stopped laying. They are not moulting. I see no pests. They did better over the winter and there were at least 5-7 eggs a day. Just baffled. Could it be vitamins? I give them oyster shells too.

They will be 2 years old in August. Could they only lay for 2 years?

Most production hybrids do, it could also be the heat

I think they are too young for that, mine generally lay good for 2 years, slowing the third, but still laying.

I think you have a hidden nest. Some will keep using the nest boxes like they should, and two or three have a nest of eggs somewhere. Even if you are positive they don't.

Go sit with them, take coffee and a book and wait. They will show you.

my chickens are in a run and do not free range. I have looked under the coop and nothing there either.

Mine are a little over 2 years, they do slow down after about the first year. I used to get almost one egg a day per chicken, now its more like 4 or so every few days. No biggie for me, more than enough eggs still!

see your chickens laying again? I have 1 isa that hasn’t lay since sept. But u heard they just lay 2 yrs
