Isbar thread

This is my first Isbar chick.

She (hopefully) is 1 day old. My pullet only started laying Nov. 1 and just for fun I put 1 of her eggs under a broody. The pullet was original import crossed with second import (KYTinpusher bred). The rooster is original import. She came from a pretty green egg. LOL...I currently have 100% Isbar hatch rate. 1 for 1.
Congratulations!

adorable!

Here's the basket that I use:

I'm sorry only one of the eggs made it this far. :hugs  I hope you have better luck with the eggs you have coming. Have you checked with @chambe94 to see if she has any eggs? She is in Michigan and you may be able to do a local pick-up which would probably greatly increase your hatch rate.

Not that Michigan isn't a big state, I didn't even realize someone was raising Isbars here and from the sounds of it relatively close :)

Yes, from where you both state you are from, though vague, I guessed you weren't too far apart. I grew up near Grand Rapids, so I am a little familiar with the state.

Apparently I'm an addict again. So not only do I have a dozen on their way from Josh again, which I asked about the brown egg. No longer matters in this case as the chick didn't make it to lockdown. I also have a dozen and a half from another source on their way. I have a single very expensive egg in the incubator :)

How is the incubation going?:lol::/:)

I'm at day 18 with my single egg. The waiting.. Plus side. My 2 sets of eggs are on their way and should be here before the week is out. 30 more to try :) = a happy woman if I get some healthy chicks to pick through.

Happy to share my arrival. All green eggs in every shade you can imagine. Thank you to both Lynn and Josh on excellent packaging, they made it to Michigan. Hopefully this is a good start to my flock.
