Isbar thread

Yay I got my first egg! At 15 weeks!! It's either Isbar or Cream Legbar but it's more mint green than blue so I'm thinking Isbar. It's closest to OAC 151. What do you guys think?

Congratulations! I don't have legbars either, but that looks a little light for an Isbar first egg. However, the Isbar eggs are variable in shade. Either way, a very pretty egg! Whose comb and wattles are the reddest? That might give you a clue. Also, if you feel the pelvic bones below and in front of the vent, they will be farther apart in a hen that is laying.

I'd say Isbar for sure. What is the source of your chart? I just got a very different colored egg from my Isbars with no new layers (these started laying in July). This is the egg at the top of first photo. Plus this morning I got my first olive (?) egg and it looks like an Isbar. The color is washed out on this second photo, with the new "olive" egg next to a legbar. See why I'm interested in the color chart?

It is "The Online Auction Color Chart". I got mine off Ebay, but I don't see any on there now.

Helpful if enough people use the same thing, but I'm not sure how many of these are out there.
I found this Google Doc conversion from The Ameraucana Breeders Club "Egg Color Reference Chart" to the Online Auction Color (OAC) Chart and vice versa.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AooSdOwP3pJ6dF9ONHdfUVUwQ3BOVDZnNnVIWDlFd3c#gid=0

eBay seller "silkresource" had listed the OAC but is offline until after the holiday so I sent a message to them about the availability of the OAC.

Cool! Now I just need to find a comparison to the Marans chart.
