Welcome from New Orleans. You have gotten good advice on training a cockerel from @GCrumb. It's never too early to start training. I had one who was trained so well that I could hold him while kids petted him on his back while standing toward the back of his side. I let my guy be the head of his flock of hens, but he also knew I was in charge of him. He also knew he was required to respect all humans. He was a great protector and provider. I still miss him. Still looking for another like him. He was a French Black Copper Marans. The Marans are my preferred choice of chicken.
Hey there, welcome to BYC! We’re so glad you have joined this awesome community!
He looks like he’s a rooster. That’s good he seems mellow. You should wait and see if he is a nice boy! He is very handsome!
