Island autism chickens

I was googling hens that look like roosters when I found you all. Never had a rooster before not sure he will be good with the kiddos.
Time will tell if he's a good fit with youngsters, some are, some aren't. Just watch carefully, roosters can hurt little kids.
 
Side note, out of 70 chickens I think it’s a small miracle that that’s your first roo.
I usually get pullets… this round of pullets was much younger…the first 45 we’re laying within two weeks of arriving and the second batch were pretty chick like and no laying yet ( arrived In early June)

Rooster have extremely varied personalities.

You try interacting with him first, and if he proves trustworthy, slowly start to introduce others.

It's very possible he won't. It's also very possible that if he is left alone (as in not chased or grabbed), he will be just fine. I have several currently that I would be comfortable with very small children being around if they were supervised.
